Head Of Quality Control

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the companys Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (ISO and industry-related standards).
  • Establish quality policies, procedures, and control plans.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of findings.

Manufacturing Quality Control

  • Oversee quality control activities across:
    • Incoming materials
    • In-process inspections
    • Final inspections
  • Approve inspection and testing plans to ensure product conformity.
  • Monitor defect rates, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective control of scrap, rework, and deviations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance process capability.
  • Promote a quality-first culture across all production and support functions.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage customer quality requirements, complaints, and feedback.
  • Act as the main point of contact for quality-related customer issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality teams across plants or sites.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives.
  • Build strong collaboration with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales.

Reporting & Management Interface

  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Track and analyze quality KPIs and trends.
  • Support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

OEM & Automotive Quality Compliance

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of automotive quality systems, including:
    • IATF 16949
    • APQP
    • PPAP
    • FMEA
  • Ensure full compliance with OEM customer-specific requirements (CSRs).
  • Act as the main quality interface with OEM customers.
  • Lead and manage OEM, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
