Planning Manager

About the Role

Position Objective:

Drive effective planning and scheduling of engineering projects to ensure on-time delivery

across all disciplines and locations. Provide proactive schedule, oversight, identify risks and

delays, and implement corrective measures to optimize project performance. Support the

HODs and PMO Office to enhance resource efficiency, and strengthen planning standards to

ensure consistency and coordination across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules covering all design phases,

ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and delivery requirements.

Coordinate with project managers, HODs, and regional teams to define realistic

timelines, sequencing, and resource allocation.

Track project progress against approved schedules, identify delays or deviations, and

propose corrective and recovery actions in coordination with PMs and HODs.

Prepare and update baseline schedules, lookahead plans, and periodic progress updates

for management and project teams.

Analyze project critical paths, risks, and constraints, and proactively support mitigation

planning.

Prepare planning reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to support

management decision-making.

Support resource planning by coordinating manpower allocation based on project

priorities and workload distribution.

Ensure consistency of planning standards, methodologies, and reporting formats across

all projects and branches.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and project

execution efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or

equivalent).

Experience

12–15 years of experience in project planning within an A&E consulting firm or

engineering environment.

Proven experience in developing and managing engineering design schedules.

Experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-project environments is essential.

Experience in regional projects (Egypt, KSA, Lebanon, or GCC) is a strong advantage.

Proficiency in planning tools such as Deltek, Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
